Might be fun to have a mod that calculates an estimated total carbon footprint for the entire site (in what's going on in forumhome) and individually for users in the postbit/profile... so we can see just how much carbon wasting our time on the tubes is producing...
The currently accepted estimate is: 20 milligrams of CO2 per second are released to visit a Web site.
There is a mod that already calculates total time spent online so it should be no big deal to change the math a little to calculate carbon footprint rather than time, of course you'd need to come up with your own unique code but it's obviously possible:
