Ranking System - vBExperience (simplified)

I would like if someone could take the vBExperience mod & simplify it. (or if creating another way is easier that would work too)

I only want a ranking system (no shop, no achievements, no awards, etc)
Just keep track of forum activity & place an image on postbit that represents their level. (with the option to still add misc points)
Image - not Avatar
Level - not Usergroup

Simple.
