I know him personally, John is a VERY odd man. A lot of us think that he IS crazy. This isn't the first time he has done something like this. The first time, he went to China with his son (Brian) and got stuck with no money and no way to get back. He finally managed to get Brian back to the US in time for school, but he was stuck until about November or December, he got back just in time to go back out to Myanmar. I hope he's learned a lesson this time, but most of us (his neighbors) seriously doubt it.

now it's making national and world news, and they are trying to call him a hero. Sad part is he abandoned his kids to go there (for the second or third time).
