How do I convert from Fireboard to vBulletin
Hi
After have tried finding the solution for several hours, I must say that I give up. The closest thing I've gotten to success, was that I managed somehow to import some of the topics from Fireboard to vBulletin forum. The problem was that it says for instance "General Discussion: 7 topics" but inside it, there were only 3 topics. I have looked for the answers on google, and in the manual too. I also looked at this topic http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1522933 but it made no sense to me. What is that script and what to do with it? I had several problems, like tables conflict, so I had to rename some tables for eg. "jos_fb_users" to "fb_users", etc. There were 14 of them, I think. Now I can't even login to Joomla anymore. It says that my username and pass do not match, and I think it's because of the my attempt to import&convert the database to vBulletin. Now my whole website is down and when I try to import my backed-up database back to PHPmyAdmin, it says: Error SQL query: -- -- Database: `information_schema` -- CREATE DATABASE `information_schema` DEFAULT CHARACTER SET utf8 COLLATE utf8_general_ci; MySQL said: Documentation #1044 - Access denied for user 'toonhazecom'@'localhost' to database 'information_schema' I kindly ask for a detailed description of converting from Joomla's Fireboard to vBulletin. Alex UPDATE: I have just contacted my webhotel provider, and they should take care of the database problem. Meaning, I want to start this process from the scratch. Though I am still waiting for all the relevant information. |
