If you are just clicking on the link, your browser is going to show a whole page of rss links (at least both firefox and safari will). That is not what a post will look like. That is the *feed*
Thank you Lynne, I was clicking on the link. Having never done it before, I had no idea what I was looking for.
After right clicking on the link, copying the link, and using it as the URL in the appropriate location, it worked great.
