Questions from a Newbie

Hi Everyone, this is my first post here...I still don't know the lingo, and I'm not even sure if I'm posting in the right thread, but here goes.

I am trying to add ad space to my board. Leaderbox, Skybox, etc. I added one space on the test forum (right column) but it makes the threads on the regular board center. Any idea what's causing this?

Also, does anyone know how I can ad the skybox and leader board ad space?

Lastly, is there a place to find color codes, such as #000000/black? I've seen a few posts here where people are downloading what looks like custome colors, but I'm not that advanced, and I'm hoping there are some standard codes? I like the blue used here for this board too, is that a standard color?

Any help anyone can give me is greatly appreciated, please keep answers simple...
