At the top right of each page on my forum (and this forum and every other one) is:

Welcome, birdie. You have 0 unread messages; Total 0.
You last visited: 20 Oct 2007 at 10:11.

I would really like to modify it to read:

Welcome, birdie. You have 0 unread messages; Total 0.
22 New Posts since your last visit.
You last visited: 20 Oct 2007 at 10:11.

Am am not close to competent in knowing how to do this - anyone offer some guideance?

I know there is the link on the Nav bar to new posts. I noticed this mod on http://www.webproworld.com and like it
