Need a Hack: Owner's Registration

Greetings -

I don't know if I have this in the right place, please feel free to re-locate it if not...

I'm the admin of a website devoted to a particular brand of sailboats. I have a need for a boat/owner's registration. I have an old one right now that's really creaky - and want to transfer the data to vB.

I know about the Profile Fields in vB - and that I can add others, etc. The problem is, some of these owners own multiple boats, or own them in sequence. If I use the profile fields as boxed, the original ownership info will be wiped out when the new stuff goes in.

I need a hack which will allow me to have them enter particular fields (hull number, date purchased, date sold, etc) and be able to show multiple boats per owner - over time. So - multiple boat info records tied to a single user (a better description).

Any suggestions??
