vBulletin adding *s to code?

Ive had a member of my site contact me saying that every time he tried to add code tags, it would post a lot of *'s instead of spaces.. I think its best just to link to an example.

If you see there it added a bunch of asterisk instead of the spaces originally intended.. does anyone know why?
