Quick question about private forums

Not sure if this is doable or not. What I want to do is make one of my forum sections to show "private" on the forum home page for everyone.. But the catch is I don't want to restrict access to that section for the registered users. Why I want to do this is, it's a place for NSFW(not safe for work) links discussions etc. and I figure people at work etc, prob don't want some of the thread titles to displayed on the forum home page.
