VBShout on ALL pages ???

Howdy vB,
I'm very new to vB and we had a friend set up our gaming clan site. We installed the VBShout shout box add-on. It works fine on the "main" forums page but I'm being told that its doesn't work on the other pages. Like the initial login page or the detailed forum pages. That it in fact trashes the admin panel and site n general. I've seen posts that claim to fix this but frankly "whoosh" way over my head. :-)
I'm wondering is there is a reason for this or have we just reached the limitations of our knowledge?
Is there some trick/magic or hack that will get this to work on all the pages or most of the pages?
We're running vB 3.6.5 and vBAdv

Also, just for my benefit, we have one of the extremepixels.com "skins/themes" for vB 3.6.5, its called tran_z, does some modification have to be made for the shout box to work on all pages because of the theme? (Sorry of this is a really basic question)

We'd be willing to "pay" someone to fix this for us too, not a lot of money mind you but we'd work somethng out.
