Making a forum not count posts

I dont want posts in a particular forum to be kept track of. Not the individual members post count, but the count that goes onto the main page and website total.

Its just I have a main chat forum that is offtopic, and I dont want it to look like that forum is where the majority of the traffic is, I want the posts/threads to be from the content forums instead.
