Help - Require Members of specific IP address to Log In to see anything?
I have a problem ex-member that I have banned from my forums but they are still being a PITA by hanging out on my site an bothering my members elsewhere via e-mail or on other sites...
She is a real psycho... Anyways, I can not ban her IP address because she uses AOL and banning her IP would lock out at least a dozen of my other members.... So, what I would like is some way to have vBulletin check the IP address of my members and if it matches a list of "lock-out-members" the system would treat them as a specific usergroup that I will set up that will not allow them access to ANYTHING but a special forum explaining why they can't see anything until they log into the system and if they are not members they should register.... Does anybody have any advise on what MODS I may be able to use to get this in place... I am going through this persons IP provider but I have doubts about how much AOL will do about this and I have quite a few angry members... Necessity being the mother of all invention, I figured I would come begging for help! EDIT 1: OK, can someone that is better at understanding code advise if there is a way I can use the "Member Bot Mod" to look at an array of problem member IP addresses and if the member is in that list put then use the change to the core file to put the forums permissions into a "Logged In Members ONLY mode". If the member is logged in, then their normal privlidges should take over. |
