Yet Another Polls Mod Request - Value Votes
I' dlike to be able to create a poll where rtaher than just a tick box, you can assign a value, either as say radio buttons from 1-10 or perhaps an input box which accepts a numerical value between 1 and 10. Almost like the rating system used for threads.
vBSurvey can do this... BUT I'd like the results to be displayed as a single bar of the total value of the results as opposed to multiple bars for to total of each possible value (which is what vBSurvey does) An example of use would a poll which asks users to rate the performaces of sports teams, or players with in a team. If the user could vote 1 - 5 on a team, and 3 people voted 5, 2 votes 3, 1 voted 1 and 2 voted nothing the result would be displayed as a single bar (3*5+2*3+1*1 = ) 22 in length. This could also be reprasented as a percentage based on how other teams rated. A drop down box with the possible values rather than a checkbox on the existing poll templates and an additional table/querie or 10 might do it - I might be able to nut it out, but I aint no coder Clear as mud? Thanks! |
