How can I increase the ADMIN CP "inactivity" logout period?

In the Admin CP - Admin Control Panel Options there's a choice called "Timeout Admin Login?"

It says if you select YES, that the timeout period (of inactivity) while you're in the Admin control panel will be the same as the Cookie timeout setting (in vb Options/Help Cookies and HTTP Header Options). I have that set to 24 hours.

If you select NO the logout period of inactivity will be 1 hour.

Well, no matter which one I choose - it logs me out after 1 hour of inactivity, although according to the instructions it shouldn't log me out until 24 hours of inactivity if I choose YES.

So, I wrote to vbulletin.com support about this and they told me to set it to YES. I wrote them back to tell them that's what I had already told them I had done and it was still logging me out after 1 hour.

They then said I should go to vbulletin.org and see if someone had a hack for this!! I don't understand, I told them... your instructions don't indicate anything about needing a hack, it just says to select Yes - and it's not working.

They never wrote back after that.

So does anyone know how you can set the Admin CP to log you out after a period of inactivity based on your Cookie setting, rather than simply logging you out after 1 hour. I can't take these constant logouts anymore. Seems like I'm spending half my time re-logging in!
