if a mod is removed for a reason (for example copyright reason) or by the author itself, you are not allowed to redistribute it even in private. That's breaking the law.

Of course it has nothing to do with vb.org anymore, so we cannot do anything, but it would still be illegal, and you have to know yourself if you want to risk it.
