Does this Mod exist: Body and Page Background defined in style
I am in the process of upgrading my forums to 3.5.3 and I am using a background image for my backdround associated with my <body> tag is OK SO MANY templates!
I have manually went through and updated these <body> tags to <body background="http://www.SOMEFOOLSWEBSITE.com/images/background.jpg"> and then to make it work I simply need to go into my styles css and delete the style background color for the body and page. It works fine but I was thinking this would be a WHOLE lot better if I was to create a hack that added a cell in the css.php template (under Image Paths perhaps) that allows a background image to be defined for this particular style. Then add a field in the database for this value. This way, I can create children styles and change just the background for a specific style... I am swamped with projects at the moment as I am moving a number of my websites to a new server and during this move I had the "bright" idea to update all four of my vB forums to 3.5.3. but if this hack doesn't exist I will start working on it soon as I can get all my websites moved off the old hosting so I don't have to be paying for an extra server I don't need anymore! If you want an example of a site with background images, here is the site I was working on that gave me the idea: http://www.timeshareforums.com |
