What do you actually mean when you say you added $cronimage "to the index.php" - did you physically edit index.php ?
In fact, nevermind, where does 6 months come into this ? you posted this thread barely two days ago. You already applied your "fix" before I even got to see the reply to my question. Your whole attitude seems very confrontational.
$cronimage is built and inserted into your footer to call the cron jobs. Without asking, I don't know the reason for doing it this way - but I would be 100% sure there is a very good reason, and it is unwise to tamper with it unless you know what the effects will be. But I'm sure you know what you are doing, so good luck.
