I would like to turn the forum into a community where users can host and share pics of their cars. I believe all the necessary features such as pic hosting, voting and commenting are already present but there will need to be quite a bit of tweaking. I have outlined a full spec with what I think are the best ways to do it but of course its only a suggesiton. The first step would be to expand the ?user profile pic? feature to allow up to ten photos one of them being the main photo. Photos larger than 800 width need to automatically be reduced to that amount. The user profile page would also need to be re-designed to a more efficient layout to accommodate the new features such as rating system and comments. The layout should be modeled after a profile page from monchar.com with a large ?main? pic and several thumbnails. The rating and system should be added to the page. Currently that record of user ratings appears in the ?usercp? page and can just be copied over. We?ll just have to tweak it a bit to give the option of leaving points only or comments only. I can add custom user profile fields for car make, car model (up to 5 types), year, class of car, location, ? mile time and gender. What I need you to do is make the entries selectable from a drop down menu except for car model which the user inputs himself and the car class which should be a checkbox type where up to 5 can be selected. In addition an entry box where the user can input text to describe his car will be needed as well as a hit counter for each profile page.

Point forum:

-10 user profile pictures
-automatically reduced to 800 width if larger
-rating/comment system moved to user?s ?profile? page
-option to leave only a rating or only a comment (deletable by admin)
-profile fields added with drop down menu pre-determined selections
-the fields must be searchable in the forum search engine
-premium user group can upload up to 25 pics and have 10 megs of space (I may change the amounts later).

The ?Memberlist? page should resemble the homepage of monchar. It will list the top 5 rated users pics, 5 newest users pics, all the makes of car with the number of each user who chose that make next to it in brackets. We need to add sorting capabilities by ? mile time, year and make of car in addition to the current sort-by alphabetical and rating options. We should be able to exclude people who haven?t uploaded a profile pic. The top 5 pics, the 5 newest, a search box with the new profile fields and the number of entries in each category will be also embedded on my main homepage so we need to keep that in mind.

There will be other little modifications that need to be done to get as many people as possible to realize there are new features in place. We?ll need to put a camera icon or something next to people?s usernames who have uploaded profile pics. Some people might not have pics of their car for upload but it will be mandatory for everyone to at least choose their make of car. If the field is blank for a user, we?ll put large text in the header visible only to them telling them to go visit their profile and choose a car.

Crews/Clubs (if this is too difficult we may be able to leave this part out)

Right now there is a feature which allows users to join public user groups on their own from their usercp. Unfortunately, the administrator needs to manually create any public usergroups and assign a leader. I need to have it so users can create their own public groups and the creator is the manager who can approve new members to his group. A new page will need to be created like the memberlist but it will be a club list page. Users will be able to leave points to the clubs as well (not ones that they are members of, of course) and comments. Users will also be able to request to join clubs from that page.

Point Form:

-users must be able to create their own usergroups
-creator becomes leader and can approve new members
-users can comment and vote on clubs
-clubs should be able to be sorted alphabetically
-join request button
