Request Linear Thread with Orginal Post first followed by Replies

Ok, so far I havent had any replies so I m starting to work on this thing myself. I have a couple of questions though I hope somebody can help me with.

There is a mod that puts the first post on every page following it. The mod that I saw was developed for 3.5. It used editing of the templates to allow it to do this.

Is there a mod similar to this in 3.0.8? (search was down when I tried to look) What template should I be looking in to see how I could do this?
