Display full announcement in forumdisplay, not just link

Anyone able to point me in the right direction?

I'm looking to display the WHOLE announcement in the forumdisplay instead of just the link the announcement.

My intent is to allow that forums moderator to display his own announcement in full when people come to the forum and then users can create threads in that forum normally.

Also, I can't seem to find how to give permissions to editing the announcement to that specific forum moderator.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

well i played around a bit and go a little farther

how do i get the contents of $announcement[pagetext] to show up it doesnt seem to be grabbing that field from db when page loads...

other variables work and have the correct data in em, like $announcement[title] and $announcement[username]
