My suggestion to you would be to grasp the enormity of modifying a style. To do this you've got to attempt it yourself. First start with the main css making changes to what you want and move on from there. When you're done and you've gotten the site where you want it style and graphic wise, then I believe you'll have a better appreciation and awareness of what it takes to create a custom style. I've personally done three sites so far, at no cost, but I'm not about to volunteer to do it again. Its not 'difficult' it is just very time consuming, and there is absolutely no way around that fact.
