User Notes Conditional Link in Postbit

I also posted this over at vbulletin.org, but maybe this is a better spot for it (?)

I already got my conditional statement to show a little icon that serves as a link to a members usernote (only admin and mods can see it) from showthread.php (mods to postbit template).

In addition, I'd like either of these:

That icon only shows up if the user has 1 or more usernotes posted about them (this is my preference)...

OR

Next to the icon, or when you rollover it, it shows you the number of usernotes a member has posted about them.

Can anyone help?
