Nice colors - I think they work well. Overall the board is clean and easy to use, but I think you could push the envelope a bit more.
Other than the forum home, there's not much modification being done in any of the other templates. With the X-Box being such an "X gen" then, I think you have the room to really go crazy with the design and be much more cutting edge.
For someone who's new to vB, I think you've made some excellent first steps, but I'd encourage you to push things further and to use more of the XBox styling. For example, did you consider using the XBox icons [link]?
