This would be very difficult to achieve.

If a post is "unread" is determined by the timestamp of the post. So in order to make it show up as new, your would need to change the timestamp. So far no problem you would say.

The timestamp however is also used to order the posts in a thread. So if you change the timestamp, a post could get moved under replies that have been made previously.
