BB Code Parser added in your search.php

I would like images, attachments, quotes, smilies, etc, etc to appear in searchs and I am using a "Today" feature showing all the posts in a 24 hour period and I would like all these things showing. I was talking to someone and they said I need to have them run through the BB Parser for these to appear. I do believe it will be more server intensive but I would like this to happen. Can someone explain how to hack-up my search.php to add this capability?
