Is it part of vB or add ons?

I have a few more questions before I can make the purchase. I would very much appreciate any comments.

* Can administrator-defined profile-fields be made mandatory-to-fill-in?

* Can any profile-fields, default, or administrator-defined be made only visible to certain user groups, and/or in certain forums? (For example military rank only shows up if the user is in group "verified member", otherwise hidden.)

* Are the two above require a modification, or part of vB?
