No it cannot. and no it is not illegal to do so here, however we feel that it should not be posted here in any form, and Jelsoft did not want it posted on their site.
Please respect the wishes of the company, you are more than welcome to do so yourself if you are capable enough to remove the code.
What a bizarre reaction, I thought this just checked for the lastest version. Now I'm wondering what else it does to provoke such an OTT reaction at the thought of removing it.
