Future VBulletin User Questions Support...
Hello there!
I am almost certainly a future user of the vBulletin message board system. The software is being purchased for a well-established community that has been having issues with CGI exploitation and server hijackings (nasty stuff). I've watched the growth of vBulletin for an exceptionally long time (probably since the launch... how many years has it been now?). For as long as I can remember, the product has been respectable and chic, so it feels right to finally procure vBulletin. Now, personally, I tend to lean more the way of PHPBB because I love the freedom of the software and the wonderful group of people who develop it. Still, it's fair to say that vBulletin can share that spotlight. My question: I've used many message board applications in my years on the internet, some paid and some free. One thing I found common with many paid versions of software was a bitter, bitter support department. When I pay for vBulletin, am I assured a top-quality support crew with thoughtful and caring members? In the past, I've been humiliated, yelled at, disparaged, and cursed at for being "incompetent." When I buy this, I want to feel proud of the action. I want to be able to run through fields of flowers screaming, "I love vBulletin!!!" (You get the idea.) I don't want to receive a response to my support ticket with the words, "You suck, freak" carefully placed in their most degrading positions. So, what do you current vBulletin members have to say? Can I feel protected and content giving my money to Jelsoft? Thanks for taking the time to read this rather peculiar message. Your comments are much appreciated. Bruce |
