Latest Discussions?
Please see my webpage at www.vorspann.net Currently I have the latest
release of VBulletin loaded under the forums section and although I just put this up and there is no posts on the main page of my site I want to have a section that shows the most recent posts such at this site www.evolutionm.net but I am not sure how I go about this. If you look on my main page there is a section in the left vertical bar that says recent discussions. That is where I want the most recent discussions (Thread titles only) to be inserted. Preferably I would like to have a table with say 10 rows and one column and everytime a new thread is started or someone replies to a thread and makes it the most recent I would like for it to insert into one of the table rows and in the end there would be 10 spaces for the most recent. I am not sure at all how to do this but I am wondering if anyone can help me? I am using PHP and MySQL obviously. Any help would be appreciated! Basically what I have come to find is that I don't think I want my home page to be in VB. I have looked at VB lite offered by Teck but I am also a little weary of a template driven webpage. I find it alot easier to just go in there and edit the HTML/CSS as oppose to making templates. Basically I am just looking for some sort of way to take things like latest discussions which is obviously VB based and put them on my main page which is HTML/PHP. Tons of sites do this such as www.bimmerforums.com and www.evolutionm.net so I dont really see a reason to have to use something such as VBlite. Anyone able to help me here? Thanks Chris |
