Hack used for Hacks section here..

I give up, spent the last 1hr searching through endless post trying to find the hack that was used for the Hacks section here...

I like the idea of it, and can implement it in my site for an articles section.

main page would have article catagories.
within there, a selection of articles which you can then click and read the "how-2" guide...

anyone got any idea what that hack is called? or how it was done?
