I have 2.2.7 Installed, it's running like a dream and I've been merrily installing hacks for about a week or so since installing it (you can view what I have installed currently here: http://forum.racesimcentral.com/forum.php )
The thing is... this seems utterly stable, it seems superb. And what possible reason is there to upgrade to V3 when it's out? The only thing I see from my view is that languages are now not hard coded into the php files and are all templated? If this is true then MAYBE I could make use of that, but I also have to think about how that could take international users AWAY from the English speaking forums more than they already are (we have a big Danish community on our forums as our host is Danish - the Admins are me (English, living USA), 1 South Africa, 1 (more) England and 2 Danish. We also host forums for a lot of online racing leagues (racing simulations) and I just don't see much point for me in VB3... Can anyone point anything out which is going to change my mind? (I have taken a look at the running beta forum of VB3 and I see nothing I'm all 'whoopie dood' about...) |
