Default Mobile Style - Pull Forum Category Icons instead of Status Icons

I'm trying to make the 'Default Mobile Style' display the forum category icons from the full desktop site... instead of the 'status' icons that currently appear.

Anyone aware of a quick method to pull the forum category icons?
