Recent CMS Content Widget showing content but not links

I want users to have to sign in to view the full articles, but I want them to be able to view the list of articles that are in a widget. When I set the permissions to where they can't view the articles then the links disappear.

There should be links to the articles in the top right widget about the social icons.

Thoughts?
