So if you're sure the user is valid then it seems like the only other option is that it's not being passed those parameters. You said you clicked on "view public profile", does the url say member.php?u=XXX (with XXX being the user's id)? And also what's your vb version?

version is 3.8.3. and the member was valid, it was a profile i had just created to test some stuff. tried to view profile via a post I had just made

i deleted that profile but will create another one to see if I can re-create the problem....

can't recreate the issue now... peachy, no idea what the problem was.
