Modifying DTO Garage

I have to be honest, I am finding these forums to be rather unhelpful. Four issues, four posts, three of which I resolved on my on my own, and one I still need some guidance in. All four no responses at all.



I have decided to struggle through this process of making a product to modify this product. If anyone is interested in helping, let me know.

Here is where I am caught up on, say I want to use the variable for the username to find out what that persons user id number is. Then I want to use that user ID number to call to the DTO Garage vehicle portion of the database to find out the vehicle ID number to that user ID number.

How would I do that? If I could just see the code to do something like that, I would be so much better off with this software.

I need to select from a third table in this statement:

		          LEFT JOIN " . TABLE_PREFIX . "userfield AS userfield ON (userfield.userid = user.userid)
                          WHERE user.userid = userfield.userid
                          $condition   
                          ORDER BY $orderby $direction
                          LIMIT $pos,$perpage");

The third table is called "dto_garage_vehicle. The field I need from that table is called vehicle_id.

     $induction= $userinfo[field65];

I just need to input vehicle_id into a variable and then use that variable to create the proper link.
