Skinning vs programming question
Hello;
When someone talks about making a skin for VB, is the only they they are doing is editing the underlying graphics files, without editing any code? Is there normally any code programmed to go with a skin? Or are all the changes to the VB layout generally done in some fashion through the admin CP? I have a designer that can edit all my graphics. (I do have a question on that for Version 4, the only download I can find is one that has individual psd files and no combined layered file as I see is offered for version 3, are these separate files the only option)? Should I just get my designer working on the graphic files, then I would load them up, then make any necessary code changes? Are the code changes usually fairly insignificant, are the graphics the main part of the skinning process? I'm trying to figure out if I am also going to need to hire someone with programming / development skills to finish this, or if I likely can manage that once I have the graphics. Thanks, Jamie |
