Maybe try a slightly different color scheme for forum, with custom icons etc. to offset the head read header.

Also the mango/salmon color on the blogs isn't eye comfortable with the bright red header. Maybe add somethign that compliments the logo?

Use some custom forum icons, change that pink to something else then red on mouseover etc perhaps a burgundy or dark brick red type of color.... other than that CMS looks good, overall of someone who admitted to being a newcomer to vbulletin not too shabby (so far ).
