Why was ad_showthread_firstpost taken out?

Hey guys,

This was automagically part of the templates when vb4 came out but then somewhere around 4.0.4 it was taken out. I added it to 4.0.4 then 4.0.5.. and it's still missing from 4.0.6. Anyone know the reasoning for it? I need to remember which template I edited to include it also now
