Remove paperclip linking help please

Hi, is there any way to stop the paperclip linking to the attachment in any post.

I have a mod installed that requires the user to make a thanks before the attachment is shown, but clicking on the paperlink takes you straight to the attachment and bypass the thanks system.

I have found this in threadbit, but not sure what to remove to take away the paperclip
