I recently installed the Advanced BB Code permissions mod.. which allows you to set who can and can't use certain BB Codes..
I have a 3.8.4 version of vB.. The mod works great. I installed it because i recently also installed the "[mod] Moderator Notice Here [/mod]" BB Code and I didn't want registered users to be able to use it.. Now obviously when someone breaks a rule.. you edit their post and insert your Moderator Message within their post via "Edit"... I tried to do this, but due to the permission, I was unable because the usergroup didn't have permission to use the BB Code (even though I did.. It was their post i was editing, which disabled me from using the [mod] BB Code Is there anyway to make it so that usergroups who ARE able to use the [mod] BB Code are able to Edit a users post who ARE NOT allowed to use the BB Code. |
