Will VB4 erase the data of 3.8.4?

Will VB4 erase the data of 3.8.4?

I have two urgent questions:

1.I am currently running VB3.8.4 PL1: if I intent to upgrade to VB4, shall I upgrade to VB3.8.4 PL2 first?

2. If I directly upgrade to VB4, what will happen, all the files and data of VB3.8.4 will still exist or be erased?
