Automatic Content Rich Monthly Newsletters

I haven't been able to find a mod that automatically sends a monthly email to forum members. Is there one out there?

My reasoning is, that it is so much easier to keep someone who has already registered on your forums to be engaged and participating than it is to try and get new people to join and participate. However part of keeping members active, is being constantly in contact with them on a regular basis, and sometimes that can be difficult to schedule the time to make sure email go out on time and in a regular fashion, as well as finding relevant content to include.

So I thought it would be good to streamline this process by having a mod that automatically sent a monthly newsletter where the newsletter would just have a brief introduction, and then listed the the 10 most popular threads that have been started over the last month, and then asked the member to visit and participate. What do you think?

Some further refinement to a mod like this would include things like being able to make the top 10 list only of thread from specific forums, the emails being more personalised, having different email frequency settings, etc.

So is there anyone out there that has seen a mod like this or would be willing to create it? I think the vast majority of forum owners could utilise a feature like this. What do you think?
