Articles-I can't find a setup that works.
I need to do articles on my site somehow. And so far, I've been working with and haven't found a good solution with vBAdvanced, and I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.
I need the front page to be a listing of the articles, kind of like the news archive. And I need those listings to link to something kind of like the news module. But here's the issue. I need the articles to be somewhere off the forum. They readers need to be able to read the full article, and perhaps be linked to a commentary thread added later, but having them on the forum seems kind of inelegant. I managed this pretty well with a wordpress installation, but I was forced to give that up when I payed for a custom style because I couldn't skin the wordpress to match the forum and I couldn't pay enough to get the wp skinned. So I went with vBA. A similar setup to what I'm talking about can be seen here, albeit without the articles being minimized on the front page. So what can I do? Can anyone recommend a plugin or something for this? Should I look for another vB integrated CMS? |
