You know, your suggestions would be taken more seriously if you did them in a more adult manner. I found the way you worded your OP to be down right rude to the effort Princeton has put into the styles.
You may think that they are monotonous, but some of us like them Your opinion is not representative of a majority, nor a minority. It's representative of yourself.
Really, Let's see those stats Dean . There's been plenty of people who find the styles terrible. Posted on this forum will alert you to that so pulling that one out isn't what I call. A fact? Unless you know something I don't and to be fair, the styles are blinding to the eye. The red, green and purple styles are not easy on the eyes. Anyway, I'm not really fussed now, I'll just settle for the generic blue as I only posted because the style selector is easy accessible now and believe that we should be graced with styles easy on your eyes with colour usage taken in mind.
I created a custom style within a night, so it's not hard work to create appropriate gradients with the appropriate colour usage esp to a generic default style with no slicing required (bar the header area).
As for the new options, great stuff, It's the way forward (like I've stated) the styles make the efforts look bad imo. The trouble is, you settle for mediocre when you can have something far better with the resources at hand.
Like I said, There's room for improvements or atleast give the community one style that isn't blinding so they have one to select over the other dazzling styles.
