Importing users from external database into your forum

I wanted to ask that if i have to forum and i wanted to add all the users from my older forumm to my newer forum. Is it possible?
I mean i have a database with usertable of a vbulletin forum. Now i want to add these users in my current vbulletin forum,how can we do this without any userid change or password loss of current users.
