Problem with External.php setting

I'm trying to work my way through a setup I'd like and it doesn't seem to be working. Not sure if I need a mod or not but I'm not finding anything.

I'm displaying recent thread titles on a non-vb page but I want to make the visitors register to view the content.

I realize external.php is based on the unregistered usergroup but I can't seem to figure out the right setting for unregistered to be able to display the thread titles AND force registration to read the content.

The settings that I though would work below aren't doing the trick:
Can View Forum - Yes
Can View Thread Content - No
Can View Other's Threads - Yes

Any suggestions?

Nevermind. I needed a mod and the similar threads helped me find it. :P
Guess I wasn't searching for the right terms.
