Another Pre-Sale Question

I am very interested in moving my current site's forum from ubbthreads to VB. I do not have a license because I have not made a final decision to purchase - thus I am asking these questions.

I really like the functionality and features of VB but before I purchase a license I would like to feel comfortable that I can find a developer to do the migration and some other customization on my site with VB. How should I go about this process??
