How to change logo file format?

Hi,

Well what it is, currently, the logo has to be GIF, and this is a bit awkward for me because it reduces the quality of the image, i was just wondering how to change it to JPEG?

Because when putting a JPG file there it cant recognize it, i would like to know where the aprt of the code is to change from logo.gif to logo.JPG
