Simple mod to show latest posts on a different site

I'm looking for a simple mod that would query site A for the latest forum threads and display them on a custom page in site B. Anyone see anything like that around here?

I want to try it out but im not sure how to handle the forum permissions issues. I wouldn't want private threads being displayed by accident.
